I recently purchased an r-10 dvr with tivo. Installation was a snap and before to long I was channel surfing. Then I went to one of my local channels and it wasnt there. My locals don't even appear on my guide. I spent alot of time on the phone with directtv and nothing they asked me to do worked. Any ideas you might have would be great.

Seems like a problem with DIRECTV not sending them to your box, or possibly a bad card or card reader not recognizing the authorization of the locals. It doesnt' really sound like an issue with the R10 itself. I suppose it is also possible that you have a dish issue, or that your TiVo is not seeing the transponders tthat carry your locals.
