Can't change channels

I just rec'd a new HD for my Pioneer TIVO/DVD Recorder. I ordered a 250 gb drive and installed it and have gone thru Guided Setup multiple times, but I still can't use the Tivo Remote to change channels even though during setup tests it worked. Can someone help?

Are you sure you got the right IR code for your satellite or cable box? Do the channels change during the setup stage?

Been here a long time . . .
