Ok, I just did this upgrade using the Hinsdale howto. Everything is back together and the Tivo seems to function ok. However, in System Information, the recording capacity shows only: Variable, up to 1 hour.
running "mfsrestore -s 127 -xzpi /mnt/dos/tivo.bak /dev/hdc /dev/hdb " stated the recording capacity was 1780 hours.
I've been able to record more that 1 hour, actually up to about 15 now...
Tivo software issue?
