We've had lots of reports of problems with CableCARD usage (basically essential for Series3 TiVos) and, almost always, the problem comes down to service reps who just don't get the new technology. In Austin, the tech support reps at Time Warner can't seem to make one users CableCARD work, in spite of this note on their site:
