I have a roamio plus that hasn't worked properly since a nearby lightning strike. It seems to output the "Almost there, just a few minutes more" screen about once per minute and then it goes black. There is no obvious power up screen. It only appears to output on the component video -- it appears that the hdmi doesn't work at all.

Is it worth trying to fix this (to preserve the lifetime service) or am I hosed? I do have another drive that came out of a series 3 (I got a replacement drive when my series 3 died, but it turned out to be bad capacitors which I then replaced -- leaving me with a spare drive).

Recommendations?
