This just started happening.
If I am going at the first fast-forward speed and hit the play button, I expect the TiVo to immediately play at normal speed from that point in time. However, recently when I hit the play button while going at the first fast-forward speed, the machine jumps ahead about 8 seconds.
This happens on recorded programs or live programs where I have stopped for while and then started viewing.
I can find no setting related to this behavior.
machine is a TiVo Premiere XL
