Drive runs very loud and does not stop

I have a Premier with a weaknees drive I put in several years ago. Any idea why the drive runs very loud and never stops. Ideas to correct this?

On a Premiere, I'd guess the noise is the fan, actually. That model has a fan that can get loud.

Try putting a q-tip in the fan grates to stop the fan temporarily and see if that stops the noise.
