When I try to fast forward the tv screen goes black for a few second then the video reappears. Makes it difficult to know when to stop. Does the same in reverse also. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't say I've seen that before.
Is your HDMI cable going directly from the Bolt to the TV, or is it going through some sort of switcher or AV receiver?Been here a long time . . . -
