  • Two TiVo Premiere's both rebooting

I have two Premiere DVR's that started rebooting every 5-15 minutes a few days ago. I assumed it may be a hard drive, but since both DVR's located in different places in the house exhibit the same symptoms I am skeptical it is a hardware issue. Both start like normal and continue through the whole boot up process, but after watching OTA TV for 5-15 minutes they restart automatically. I have tried kickstart 54, 57, and 58, but they are still doing the same thing. Kickstart 54 showed the hard drives passed everything without an issue. Could the hard drives still be faulty? What about the power supply, could they both fail at the same time on the same day? Should I try other kickstart codes? What about 52? I appreciate any and all help.

If you have two TiVos that both exhibited the same behavior on the same day, it's likely something other than the TiVos. You might want to have the cable company inspect your cable line. You should also confirm that your wifi signal is still strong (assuming you're using wifi). For troubleshooting purposes, you might also try pulling the cable line out of the back and disconnect from Internet...and see if the rebooting stops.

Thanks for the reply. I am only using an OTA antenna and do not have cable. I rebooted the modem and disconnected the Ethernet cable and the rebooting stopped. When I plugged the Ethernet cable back in the TiVo rebooted almost immediately. I am not sure what could cause the issue.

I came across this issue being discussed on the TiVo Community site. I guess I will need to wait for a fix from TiVo.
