I just bought a Series 4 XL to replace one that failed. I got the lifetime service by purchasing from weaknees. Is it possible to associate this TiVo with my TiVo Online account? Mostly I want to drag & drop all my season passes from the dead TiVo onto the new one so I don't have to spend an hour setting them up again.
Also, what should I do with the dead unit? I don't remember which model it is; the model number on the back is TCD746320. I replaced the HDD with a new one from weaknees but it still stuck at the start-up screen. I can return the HDD for a refund. Should I just throw the tivo away or is it worth trying to have it repaired?
