I was wondering if it was possible to move a main board off of one unit and put it into another unit to fix a bad #2 tuner?

That may fix SAT 2, but you'll have to subscribe that new Motherboard with DIRECTV, with a new card.

Yes - recordings aren't affected when we do tuner repairs.
And, if you change the mobo, you would lose your recordings since they were serialized to the old mobo.Been here a long time . . .Comment
