I bought a customized Roamio (3TB) from WeaKnees last year (4/22/2014). Lately, it has been freezing while playing a show. When it does, it's pretty much unresponsive, and will sit there for up to 30 seconds before resuming. I have learned that it is best to do nothing and it will eventually continue, although it sometimes does this while fast-forwarding, which results in it advancing further than desired.
Is this a symptom of the hard drive going bad and retrying?
Is there a way to connect directly to the box and get logs? I ask because the TiVo is in a cabinet and physical access is not trivial.
