Installed new parts, still see "Welcome! Powering" up issue on Tivo Series 3 HD
New parts from WKs arrived today, was very excited to get TIVO back online.
After taking out the drive and the old PS, showed some signs of capacitor failure (minor bulging, some very small leakage at top), I used air to blow the dust of eight years away. The re-install was simple. After hooking the box back up to the TV though I found no display.
The system powered on, could hear the fan and drive spin up. All the lights on the front go on and *never* go off (that is new).
Power down and power up again after a brief wait. This time I get the "Welcome! Powering up..." screen.
Wait wait wait. Nothing.
Power off, power up. No display on TV. Power off, power on. Welcome! Powering up..." screen.
Thoughts on what to do next?
