    remote codes for LG lcd TV

    The following email was sent to LG customer service but the answerf was not satisfactory. Perhaps some one here can help me:

    Product/Model No. : LCD TV/32LC2DU


    I just purchased the above LG LCD tv and cannot find the correct remote program code number for my Directv Phillips-Series2 Tivo DVR in the installation manual. Could you please provide me with the proper coding for that box.

    You should look on-screen on the TiVo in Messages and Setup. I just got an LG TV myself, and as far as I know, there's only one code. Whatever I used, it works perfectly.

      You're right, Michael but I want to use the LG Universal remote to ontrol the TV AND the Tivo box.

      That code to which you referred is for the Tivo remote not the LG remote.

        Ah - sorry. I read so many the other way that I just assumed . . .

        Anyway, pretty much all TiVo except the Sonys use the same codes. So if you can find any TiVo code in there, you should be all set.

          It doesn't list Tivo in the section on "Digital Satellite Cable Box" codes. I tried the Philips and the Hughes.

          Neither one worked and there is no mention of Tivo or DirecTV in the manual.
          LG customer service just said they don't have a code for DirecTV and they said it very curtly!

          It's very frustrating....
