I currently have directv service but I only have 1 line run from my satellite dish. With a series2 tivo, will I still be able to watch live tv and record another show at the same time? I know it's possible with a directv tivo but what about with a series2?

Probably, you won't be able to use a Series2 Dual Tuner to record two shows at once. That can only be done with either cable, or a combination of cable and satellite.

The bottom line is that for dual-channel recording to work on these, you need to have at least one channel coming from cable.
