Hi.
I've got a TiVo Premier TCD746320, set up with a WeaKnees external two-drive RAID hard disk arrangement.

In the last few months, I've been periodically seeing a pattern in which pushing the TiVo Central button on the remote while viewing a program (either live or playing back from disk) yields a screen that is completely black except for the active picture-in-picture display. Sometimes when I play a program to the end, get the "delete or keep" menu, and select "delete", I see the same result -- largely black screen rather than the TiVo home screen.

When this occurs, going to "Live Program" works normally. Usually trying to go to TiVo Central after that works too although I sometimes have to repeat the cycle a few times.

Have others seen this? Any idea what could be causing it and what to do about it? It feels to me as if it could be the beginning of a failure in one of the RAID disks, but I don't know enough about how the controller works and the lights on the external enclosure appear to be flashing normally.
