Twice now that I have seen my S3 pops up the screen about cable card info. I can press CLEAR and it goes away, everything fine. I'm worried it's a symptom of a possible problem (being the paranoid that I am). Anyone know why this would happen?

Sometimes cablecard issues can be related to a power supply. Other times they can be caused by a defective cablecard and/or card slot. You might want to start by inspecting your power supply, see:

I did that a week ago or so and replaced the only cap that looked bad.Comment

We routinely replace a whole slew of caps on those, but I'd check it again and see if there's even any slight bulging.Been here a long time . . .Comment
