At first I experienced this sound skipping about every 3-5 seconds on one channel. I checked other channels including those on a second Tivo box and all was well.
Researching this issue all points to a bad HDD. So I ran the HDD diagnostics and all but the Overnight Test passed. I am going to run the overnight test tonight.
I have also tried to force a Tivo OS update but the system failed giving me an error that it could not connect to the servers.
This is a modded system purchased from WK with a Tivo Lifetime subscription. If I were to submit this for replacement HDD could all the recordings be transferred to the new HDD? Or if I were to add an external HDD could the programs be transferred in order to replace the HDD?
