TIVO remote volume control

My "real" TIVO controllers allow me to hold down the volume button and have the volume either go up or down until I release it.

My new "weaKnees" TIVO control will increase or decrease the volume but only one number at at time. Holding the volume button down does not increase it automatically until I release it. Can it be made to do that?

Sorry - that's the way the newest batch of remotes are.

BUMMER. That is unfortunate.

If the earlier TIVO remotes you sold had that feature, why don't these?

Someone at TiVo evidently decided to make that change at some point.
