Tivo Series 3 stopped recording Tivo sugestions

I've had my Series 3 since 2005, I think and have only had to replace the hard disk (1 TB) about 2 years ago. Everything has worked well since then until recently my machine stopped recording Tivo suggestions. I checked for a suggestions list and there was none. Would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone might have. Thanks.

Try rebuilding your guide data ("clear and delete guide data").
