  • Tivo Series 3 Hard Drive Upgrade Causing 2 Issues

    Hey Guys

I just upgraded my Series 3 Tivo with a 2TB hard drive! THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY TIVO!

I do have 2 issues after re-setting up the system

First Issue: My Netflix and Video On Demand will NOT WORK, I select it and it just goes back to NOW PLAYING menu (that was not like that before the upgrade)

Second issue: I have is the Tivo starts flicking to BLACK for 2 seconds then back again. I have a Sharp 60" LED and it never did that before. This happened when it is hooked up with an HDMI cable. I tried the Blue, Green, Red component cables to the TV and it seems like it prevents the 2 sec blacking out annoyance, but there seems like there is a slight ghosting in the picture now.

Also my unit is 12 years old, should I replace the fan? It seems to be working ok ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    First Fix

I was able to get Netflix and Amazon back, I signed into my account online and checked / re-checked the permission I wanted the VOD service, that seemed to work Still waiting on the other issues ! Thanks
