I have a Sprint Mifi2200 hotspot is there a way to connect my series 3 TiVo? TiVo says they do not support it.

TiVos can connect to wifi networks. Seems like this should work.

Yes it seems like it should but it doesn't, TiVo tech suggested visiting other Tivo forums because there is a work around but he wasn't allowed to go beyond the suggestion.

What happens when you select the network on your TiVo from its list of options?
        Been here a long time . . .

There is no list it isn't seeing the Mifi2200 even when the Mifi was sitting right beside the wireless G.

Can a phone or laptop see the Mifi there?

Are you sure the Mifi supports G?

Is the TiVo adapter a TiVo-brand adapter?

Yes a Nettalk duo wifi is working with it. Yes it supports 802.11G. The TiVo adapter is a AG0100.

Then I really can't see what the problem is. I'd try using the TiVo in another location with a known G network to see if it does Wifi properly at all. Maybe you can make your laptop into an access point temporarily for a test.

Hurrah!! Yesterday I went to a neighbors and downloaded on their phone line and it worked. Now that it took the initial download it is working with the Mifi2200. When the previous owner reset it it must have cleared something.
