I think my TivoHD motherboard just went bad. No lights on the front, no Ethernet lights on the back, no fan spin up, no startup picture, but the hard drive spins up.
Troubleshooting: Press Tivo button to make sure it wasn't in standby mode. Replaced the power supply with one from a working Tivo HD. Replaced the hard drive with one from a working TivoHD. Still dead after each procedure. Also the power supply from the bad TivoHD worked fine in the good TivoHD.
After all that I'm guessing it's the motherboard. Have you ever heard of this issue, or does it sound like one of those "some (rare) motherboard problems we cannot fix" as stated on the TivoHD repair page.
Tivo wants $350 to replace and transfer Lifetime. I don't want to spend $99 on top of that by sending it to WeaKness only to find out it can't be repaired. Thanks for any help you can provide.
