    Series 2 model tcd140060. Hard drive died. Bought hard drive from same model on ebay. Changed it out and it seemed to work fine. I connected to tivo and downloaded new software and programming. Now I need to set up ir signal to converter box. Started the guided setup. It made the phone call successfully and then said "please wait" then does nothing else. I do not have wireless or LAN cable, only phone line. I tried unplugging the power cord and starting over. Same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like a bad drive again, but in that model, the power supply is often the problem also.
