series 2 Hard Drive Swap

I have a series 2 TCD540040 (Lifetime Warranty) that the HD is going bad. I have access to the exact same system with a good HD. Can I
swap HD from one to another and still keep the lifetime warranty?

Yes, you can. But you'll have to reset the drive once you move it, otherwise you'll get Hardware Error #51.

So do a "clear and delete everything" after you move the drive to the lifetime TiVo.
