My Hughes HDVR2 died and would not power up. The unit would make a clicking sound, the fan wouldn't turn. I had an old, retired HDVR2 that was working. At first I pulled the power supply from it an put it in my dead machine, same problem, no power, clicking on the power supply, so I transplated the hard drive into the older machine, and used my access card from the active unit and the machine came up but said there was a hardware problem and would not allow me access to do anything. When I switched cards back it said I wasn't authorized to for DirectTV. I have to assume the motherboard is married to a particular access card? How do I remedy this situation?
I have the Tivo working now but I basically swapped an old motherboard. But it won't let me access the hard drive or DirecTV.... help!
