My tivo will not go by welcome powering up. I did the test on the hard drive from windows and the hard drive test was ok. The fan on my tivo will not go. I put a other hard drive in and got the same thing welcome powering up. I thank my power supply is bad?

What model TiVo do you have? Seems like a power supply is a good bet. -
I have A TCD240080. I had a wire come loose and I push it back in and the fan is fine. I have put two other hard divers in and still get welcome powering up, so I thank the hard diver is bad.Comment

I did a lone test on the hard diver from WD and the test was ok on the dive, so I thank the power supply is badComment

I have replace the power supply on my tivo, and it workes fine. But know my remote will not work? I got a new remote, but that remote dose not work too. I have rebooted the tivo many times, and it still will not work. I reset the remote also.Comment

Did you check the ribbon cable that goes from the front of the unit to the motherboard? If it isn't in securely, a transistor can burn out that kills the IR.
