My remote can't change channels. Have to use RCN remote...but channels change randomly. This morning chan. 2. Last night channel 311. But i can't control it except with cable remote. Have IR sensors. Do they 'wear out'?

Please try to repeat the guided setup on your TiVo and let us know if that helps. -
Called TiVo last week who said no need to do that which was my first instinct.
She suggested trying all new codes with A B C which will take at least an hour.
