I have a TIVOHD. About two years ago I replaced the hard drive because it was constantly rebooting. I put in a 1 TB drive. The drive helped the problem, but the unit still occaisionally rebooted.
It has gotten progressively worse. The rebooting got more frequent. Now it also freezes (as if the channel is paused). You can get it to change channels and the channel plays normally for 15 minutes. The it will stutter. Eventually freezes.
I am running a SMART hard drive test. I started running it last night and it was still working when I left for work, but the hard drive passed the initial tests. It did not do the conveyance test.
I'm thinking either bad power supply or hard drive.
I have verizon fios. It has two cable cards.
