TiVo HD XL no longer outputting HDMI, but still outputting SD video

My TCD658000 TiVo HD XL suddenly no longer outputs HDMI.
I've tried 3 different HDMI cables, all of which work with other HDMI devices.
It still outputs via the old yellow RCA jack, so I'm not dead in the water yet.
There was some recent thunderstorm activity which might have contributed.
Is this likely the beginning of the end for this device?

It sounds like your HDMI went bad. If the problem is not a physical connector, then it likely isn't repairable (you can try wiggling the cable to see if anything changes). You can also just use component (red/blue/green) video to get HD to your TV.

Thanks ... I will try that. I did notice that even with the yellow RCA cable, that the video would intermittently just go blank, and if I wiggled the cable it would come back on for a while. I don't have wild animals scampering around back there...
