My old Tivo recenty broke, so directv sent me a new one. This new one is a DVR R10 series. Everything is now registered so I am able to view all the channels. What I wanted to know, is there anyway possible to hook my DVR (DVR R10) from directv to mycomputer so I am able to transfer shows over to my computer? I have windows XP and I have DSL with a wireless router, can I and what do I need to own to hook it up? Thankyou in advance for help and just for reading.

Sorry, but no, there's no way to put DirecTV equipment on a network.
By the way, how recently did you receive the R10 from DirecTV?Been here a long time . . . -

I'm pretty sure it was already used. My old tivo broke, not sure which one it was, but I know it only held 35 hours. So I called directv and they sent me this one for a 20$ SandH fee. This one holds like 70, so I guess this is better.Comment
