Old Cable Card in a new Premiere Elite?

I'm planning to buy a Premiere Elite t replace my HD TiVo. The HD has a multicard cable card currently installed (about 3 years old). Does anyone know if it will be possible for me to simply swap that card into a new Premiere Elite myself without a service call from Comcast?

Generally, yes, you can do this, but in most cases you'll still have to make a phone call to Comcast to have them update the information on their side, and possibly "re-hit" the card with the latest authorization info.
