Tivo hd doesnt boot after move

I have a Tivo hd purchased from an as is ebay auction last year. I installed a new drive and it works. The problem I have been having is a skipping audio that is usually fixed by pausing and resume. Also a problem when I power down the unit it doesn't want to boot, stuck on powering up. I don't believe it to be the drive, no noise or restarting. Any ideas?

It really does, in fact, sound like a bad drive. Have you tested it with a Kickstart 54? Full info is here:

I have been unable to get the kickstart going. I restart it and hold pause, when the lights come on I release pause and have entered 52,54,57,58.
When it reboots it goes back to welcome powering up screen.

If it's rebooting back to "powering up" then you won't be able to do a kickstart.

So you very, very likely do have a bad hard drive. Replacement kits are here, but TiVo model:
