The Tivo unit is in a cabinet with all the other components. The hard drive crashed about a year or so back and we replaced it. A few months back the sound went away. If I open the cabinet it comes back as a hiss after a few minutes and then comes back fine after a few minutes more. If I close the door it quits again after a while. Is it the hard drive again? Everything else works fine. Wondering if I could put a computer fan in the back of the cabinet.
