Can I transfer recordings

I am thinking of buying a Tivo Premire and would like to transfer the recordings from my current S3 to the new unit.
1. Is this possible?
2. How is it accomplished?

It's not possible with any copyrighted shows. With non-copyrighted shows, you can use TiVo-to-TiVo transfer or move the shows to a PC and then back. Search tivo.com for TiVo Desktop. See also:
