I have a owned HR23-700 that recently quit powering on, i.e. no lights, fans, etc. After checking the power supply fuse and verifying it was not blown, I swapped out the power supply with my other owned HR23 and it did not work, while the power supply worked in when putting it in my second unit. Therefore something must have failed on the main motherboard.

Since I do not have the protection plan, I cannot pay to have Directv repair it or swap it out - they will only send me a leased one in return...

Assuming that there is no schematic available for the HR23, is there a replacement motherboard available for the HR23? Does anyone know which chip has the receiver ID embedded so that I could swap it into a new motherboard?

If anyone has any technical info available I would greatly appreciate it. I am an electrical engineer so additional technical documentation would probably help be diagnose the problem and repair it.

Any other thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
