I have owned and enjoyed a TiVo Series 3 for several years. Earlier this week the hard drive failed. I purchased a Western Digital hard drive as a replacement (AV-GP 1TB SATA 3Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive WD10EURS - OEM). I downloaded the instantcake software for series 3, created a bootable CD, ran the software from my computer with the new hard drive installed and received the report that the software had been installed successfully. I installed the new hard drive in the TiVo and I cannot get past the "Welcome! Powering Up." screen. Not sure what I have done wrong. Have followed all instructions to a T. Any thoughts?

You probably have to turn off wdidle. A google search should help. -

I could not find wdidle in relation to my drive (wd5000azdx). Also it seemed it was just a problem with warm resets from a page I was looking at.
Should I try that next and where do I find it?
