My S3 was rebooting at the Almost There... screen when both cable cards were installed (it worked fine with 1 or none). Since HD passed both the S.M.A.R.T. and Overnight tests, I assumed the PS was the culprit.
After installing a new PS:
- First boot it went to a blue screen after the Welcome, Powering.... screen with the OLED blank and all 4 LEDs lit
- It sounded like the HD was spinning, but it is hard to tell.
- I had checked all the connections well on the HD and SATA to the MB, before closing it up, but was beginning to doubt myself.
- Unplugged it and waited few minutes and tried booting it up a 2nd time before pulling it all a part again, but the same thing happened with the blue screen.
- I then pulled out both cable cards and disconnected the Tuning Adapter and figured I would give it another try and see if I could get into the Kickstart menu to test the HD again (easier than pulling the TiVo out of my entertainment center and taking it apart again). This time it got stuck on the Welcome screen with all 4 LEDs on. I waited a good 20 minutes to be able to hit the pause button and it was just stuck there.
- Frustrated I unplugged the ethernet cable and tried one last time before pulling it a part again, but this time when I plugged it in, the fan powered on, but no OLED or LED's and no signal to the TV over HDMI. Again it sounded like the HD was on, but can't be sure.
Each time I did something it just seems to get worse. I opened it back up again and all the connections look good. I am not feeling good about this. I have lifetime subscription on this unit and I am thinking I have lost the MB.
Any suggestions?
