Cable provider = Time Warner.
DVR = Tivo Series 3
Cablecard and Cisco DTA in use
I recently ordered an additional package of channels. We have two TVs in our house tied into the cable. My mom's TV, with the TWC-supplied DVR, now receives all the new channels. So that means they are piped into our house. However, my TV, with the Tivo, receives only one of the more than half dozen channels in the new package.
I called TWC tech support and they were unable to help. The person I talked with thinks the Tivo is somehow not getting an updated menu that includes the new channels. (Of course it is odd that I *do* get one of the new channels but none of the others; they are all part of the same package, and the one I do now get is not a part of any other package.)
Apparently TWC used to have some instructions for how to manually make the Tivo get an updated channel menu, but the tech could not find them.
I also happened to notice that some channels in *another* package we have had for well over a year are not coming in on my TV. (Versus has come in loud and clear for over a year but ESPNU, part of the same package, does come in.)
Possibly related to all this: the green light on the front of my DTA should be solid green but it never is and is always flashing.
I've scheduled a service call with TWC, but that is for next Wednesday. Meanwhile, I am hoping to have Tennis Channel up and running on my TV so that I can record US Open coverage Saturday afternoon/evening.
Is there something I can do? A series of steps to get the Tivo to pick up these various channels that it ought to receive? A new guided setup? Something else? I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
David
