For several months my tivo-hd skips and stops on several HD chanels only - live tv or recordings. Comcast cable splits - 1 feed to comcast Motorola box, the other to tivo. Tried switching coax cables between them, but either way, no reception problem on comcast feed, only tivo.
SMART test says no problem with internal or external disks. Signal strength mostly 93, RS corrected & uncorrected always 0. Should I try attenuator? Comcast says problem is tivo box. What can I do other than throwing tivo away and going with Comcast DVR?
