After moving, made the mistake of selecting "Canada" as the region in the guided setup on my Edge for Antenna. Although it appeared to work for a bit, it feels like a subsequent software update from Tivo has bricked it. While the unit powers on and shows a "Starting Up" message for a bit, the screen then goes mostly dark with an 'arrow' graphic. Then, about every thirty seconds thereafter, it makes a drum-like noise. Tivo left the Canadian market several years back and won't do anything to provide support. While the same happened with my Bolt, I was able to repeat guided setup using the kickstart process; selecting the nearest US zip code, and all's good with it. However, there does not appear to be a kickstart process for the Edge though. Any ideas on how to push Edge through a hard reset back to factory settings? Any help would be appreciated!

Update to my post... As anyone familiar with the Edge knows, there is no known kickstart process. Maybe there is a method to re-format the drive, but I did not have the tools, nor the knowledge to know if the Tivo OS would reinstall from the motherboard. So, I bought a new drive from WeaKnees, who assured me that their drives were already formatted with the OS and this would re-prompt setup after install (and not invalidate lifetime service!). I am happy to report that the drive swap was successful (and easy with the detail provided by WeaKnees). Setup occurred on restart and you better believe I selected the US this time! Seems I'm back in business! Only time will tell if I'm throwing good money after bad.
