Screen started going gray then back to picture then the TV said no signal. Restarted TIVO and now it won't read the card. Pulled cover off and vacuumed everything out. Internal fan is very noisey but that started after i took off cover. I can play recorded shows, but getting the [please insert your access cared] message on the screen. Looking for ideas on how to trouble shoot further to determine problem.

On that model TiVo, the "insert access card" message is actually almost always a bad power supply. We have replacements here:
