Our TiVo (from Suddenlink, now Optimum) is 5 or so years old and existing remote works fine on RF. I bought an identical looking C00270 from you on Amazon which I want to use via IR. (my wife sometimes dozes "watching" a romcom). I want to stop or mute or whatever. When I hit the power button a light above the bug blinks for a while. ONCE a msg came on screen about IR, but disappeared. Can you help me get this working? TIA!!

That unit ONLY works in IR mode unless you have a very specific RF adapter.Been here a long time . . .Comment
