Roamio Inconsistent Booting
I have a Roamio (TCD848000) that does not always boot (POST) when it is plugged in.
It's completely random. Sometimes when I plug it in, it will boot normally. Other times I just hear the fan but no lights (besides the power light) and nothing on the screen.
If I unplug and replug the power in and out of it, with a bit of a delay in-between, I can get it to boot at some point.
It's fine as long as it keeps power to it.
Any idea what the cause of this is?
Is it a common issue?
I've tried swapping power supplies with two know-good ones, but that did not help, so problem must be located on the motherboard I'm guessing but I'm not sure where to start looking.
