    New WK hard drive in Tivo Series 3 HD stuck at Welcome

    I ordered this HD a few months ago and only got around to installing it now. It can't get past the "Welcome! Powering Up..." screen, just keeps blacking out then going back to it.

    That order was for a TCD648250B.

    It's also from November.

    Are you sure that's the right number?

      TCD652160 is the number on the back panel of the Tivo case. I can't claim to be an expert on this hardware, but I followed the instructions on the WeaKnees website to figure out which upgrade to order.

      I did order this disk in November when my Tivo was rebooting a lot and I thought it was defective. However, the rebooting tapered off and rather than lose all the programming on it, I did not get around to installing the upgrade until now.
