Can't transfer recordings from old Bolt to new Edge.
I have tried using online.tivo, an old version of TiVo desktop and also pyTiVo. I can see the Edge but cannot transfer anything to it from the Bolt, or recordings that I moved from the Bolt to my PC. I am beginning to think that it cannot be done. Any help would be appreciated.

I really haven't tried that for years. I'm pretty sure the older tools just don't work with Edges, but again, I haven't tried them in a while.

I thought so also, but nope. The Bolt won't talk to the Edge. I can see the Bolt on the Edge when I go to My Shows and Devices, but they won't play from there. I can just leave the Bolt turned on and connected to another HDMI on my TV and play the recordings that way. I was just hoping to get everything off of the Bolt so I could look at the hard drive.Comment

Is your Bolt on the newest version of the OS - TE4? If not, that's likely the issue. Under Apps on the Bolt, you should see the option to upgrade (usually it's on the third line).Been here a long time . . .Comment
