Pausing and Pixelating on Roamio

Hi, I have a Roamio connected to cable box. When I watched recorded programming I am getting pausing with pixelation during playback. If I scan foward it skips through it. If I rewind and play the same section again it behaves the same way. This started several weeks ago and it is happening more and more. My signal strength is 98% and my SNR is 39 db.
Is it possible my hard drive is failing or is it likely some other issue? Thanks in advance.

How can it be connected to your cable box? Roamios just don't work like that.

Not sure what you mean. I have a Cisco cable box connected to my Roamio Pro via coax cable. Standard connection. It also has a USB connection from cable box to Roamio.

OK - that's a tuning adapter, so that makes sense. I was thinking you were talking about a typical cable box that has the normal channel selection features.
