ok so my series 2 that i had for 7 years died a few weeks ago. so i went out and bought a new series 4. hooked everything up and did everything i had to do, everything was fine til today when my service went out. now my account is in good standing and i haven't missed a payment so i figured i forgot to activate my new tivo. i went on the website and put in the service number it took me to choosing a new payment plan that is more expensive. i already have service, why should i have to chose a new plan? is there anyway to activate the new tivo by just switching service numbers and not having to chose a new plan? any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

That was TiVo's choice with Series4 units. They raised the monthly fees. You can see a comparison of pricing on the right here:

Effectively, they lowered the upfront hardware pricing (killing us retailers) and raised the monthly pricing - forever.
We're just as happy as you are about the situation, frankly.Been here a long time . . .
