Hope y'all can help me out. I have a tivo that was purchased through Weaknees and had it for ages. It had two 160 hard drives in it. So, when it kept locking up and just stayed on "Starting up" screen, I thought for sure it's the hard drives.
I recently purchased a 320gig hard drive through Weaknees and installed it with no problem Booted up and started using it and life was great. Great, that is, for about 3 weeks. Now, I am back to the "Starting up" screen and nothing else. I have been hearing a whine in the machine but to me, sounds like a fan that I need to replace or dust on the back fan, but other than that... not sure what happened.
Any place to start to see if I can get this thing going again???
