My 7 year old series 2 died the other day. Tivo wanted $150 to repair so I just bought a new one for $100. Is there anyway to transfer or somehow salvage what's on the old hard drive. I already tried to swap it into the new tivo but it won't fit. any suggestions?

If it just has a dead power supply, sure, just get a replacement:

I already bought a new tivo. I was more wondering if I could install the hard drive to my pc and pull the shows off that way. I tried to install the old hard drive into my new tivo but that was a no go.Comment
